HOUSE RULES
We have created these rules so that we all understand the parameters within which you agree to your Grand Bahama vacation rental. If during your stay something goes wrong and needs to be fixed, please call +1 242 727 4420.
Government House, Grand Bahama Yacht Club – Ground Floor
1. Parking
Please Park in the main parking area near the Main Entrance Gate. Please do not park in the shaded area, this is private parking.

2. Off-limit areas
There are no locked owners’ cupboards in the house and all items in the house are for the use of the renters.
3. Smoking
No smoking is allowed inside the house. If you want to smoke, please smoke outside and ensure you dispose of cigarette ends in the trash.
4. Parties and Events
There is a strict “no parties” rule for this house.
5. Visitors
You are allowed extra visitors but they are not allowed to stay over and we have a limit of 5 visitors per event.
6. Noise and the neighborhood
This is a family neighborhood and we therefore ask that at no time at all do you play loud music or make excessive noise. We expect that if you have guests you will keep noise to a minimum and avoid any noise after 10 pm.
If we receive complaints about excessive noise, we will ask you to vacate the property within 12 hours and you will forfeit any deposit or funds that you have paid for the balance of your stay.

7. Laundry
There is a washer and dryer in the utility room and that is for your use. There is normally washing powder available and we request that you replace what you have used.

8. Eating areas
There is a dining room in the house and a dining table in the garden. Please ensure guests don’t take food and beverages into the bedrooms or the sitting room.
9. Barbeque
There is a new barbeque on the patio that you are welcome to use. There is a spare propane tank. Please do NOT exchange tanks at one of the gas stations, as those tanks are of a very poor quality, often leak, and are rusted and damaged.
10. Garbage and recycling
There are garbage containers at the rear of the house. The island does not recycle so there is no need to separate your trash.
Please dispose of all your trash on the day of your check out.
11. Swimming Pool
There is a swimming pool for the use of residents. Normal safety rules apply to the use of the pool.
12. Pets
No pets are allowed. If however you would like to bring a pet, you need special permission in advance from the owner.

13. Security
We recommend that you secure all your belongings and remember to close and lock all the doors and windows before leaving the property. Please also turn off all the lights before leaving the premises. `
Electricity is 4 times the cost of what you pay in the US, so please close doors, and windows if you are running the air conditioning.

15. Damages and breakages
If you happen to break or damage any items in the house, please let me know by email. If damages exceed any security deposit we will look to you to reimburse us for the damages. There is a full inventory list of all items in the condo that we will check after you check out.

16. Checkout arrangements
Check out is 11am. On your day of departure, please confirm by email what time you intend to vacate and leave keys on the table in the entrance hall. We will arrange for the keys to be picked up ½ hour after you leave and will then inspect the house. Please leave the house clean and ensure you have taken any garbage to the trash containers.

18. Compliance
Please adhere to these simple rules and we hope it will not be necessary to take any action. However, we do reserve the right to impose penalties or even eviction if these rules are not followed.
